[NFL Rookie Watch] Jalen Carter WRECKED yet another game and played less than 50% of the defensive snaps: • 5 total pressures (most on team) • 0.5 sacks • 1 QB hit • 1 forced fumble • 2 total tackles. Carter already looks like a Top-5 DT in the NFL and will only continue to get better.

  1. He legit sticks out like a sore thumb, just moves differently out there its hard not to be excited for this kid

  2. Javon Hargrave is making $25m this year. Carter’s rookie deal is worth $21m over the next 4 years.

  3. already looking like an all-pro in his 3rd game is insane. one of those guys you build a defense around. gonna be fun following his career in green over the years.

  4. Feels like he played fewer snaps tonight. I found myself looking for him and couldn’t find him on the line. Anyone know if that’s true?

  5. In business they say, “Good, fast, cheap, you can only pick two.” Carter breaks that rule.

  6. Such a fucking beast.

I was sad to watch Hargrave leave but man it’s looking like Carter can fill his shoes and then some over the next few years. Sky is the limit for this kid if he can stay focused.

  7. JC is smiling in the Postgame!!!

He’s always so serious. Stoic even. He looks like he’s having fun! Gotta love it!.

  8. Last year, even though I thought it was the wrong move, most teams doubled Cox and left Hargrave one on one usually. That’s because Cox has the reputation of an All Pro and even with him slowing down over the years, he can’t be single covered without cost.

This year, beginning in week two and game two of his career, Carter has been double teamed way more than Cox, leaving Cox one on one where he’s been eating. And he’s *still* getting pressure.

The sack between the two was a perfect microcosm of what’s happening. Carter draws the double team, freeing Cox to go one on one. Cox, still being a Pro Bowl level player, beats the guard *quickly* and meets Carter, who took the double team and still pushed them both back, at the QB.

It’s actually insane. Like at this point it’s not blasphemy to say what’s separating him from Aaron Donald is snaps and experience.
