Will Ryu pitch again this season?

I’m kind of new to playoff runs, so pardon if it’s a silly question.

Will the Jays play their full rotation, or go short rest with Gausman, Berríos, and Bassitt?

  1. He’ll almost certainly pitch one more game this weekend. However, he most likely won’t be part of the playoff roster and won’t pitch in the postseason.

  2. Ryu has one more game scheduled so we will see him again.

The wildcard round is best of 3 so he most likely will not be activated. If all goes well the next series is best of 5 then the last 2 are best of 7. With rest days in between switching cities ,most teams will go to a 3-4 starting pitcher rotation and they will be on regular rest because of all the travelling.

Ryu is the 5th starter so we most likely will not see him but he will probably be on roster for the 7 game series and can see action on some scenarios like injury or if the jays are down to the elimination game or something they might throw a starter that pitched first games for a few innings after only 2-3 days rest and if they manage to win that elimination game ryu might need to pitch the next game as the intended starter is unavailable.

  3. My guess is he pitches again this season and then is left off the roster for the wild card series. Added again for the DS should we get that far
