  1. Just once, I’d love to face a good starting pitcher and not be surprised when we do absolutely nothing offensively.

  2. People are gonna talk about Romano’s back to back L’s but 3 hits in a game as important as this is just pathetic

  3. Only thing I’m going to want to look back on from this game is how bad the ump scorecard is.

  4. Nothing has been easy this season. Don’t expect this last week of the regular season to be any different.

  5. Look, we scored 0 runs so you’re not going to win many games that way. But still, shutting out the Yankees the whole way only for our supposed closer to immediately give up a single and two run shot is demoralizing. We could’ve won this in extras if given the chance.

  6. Kevin Gausman deserved better. But what’s new, he’s also deserved many more wins this season.

Jays and the offense better win tomorrow

    *Checks Yankees pitcher for tomorrow*

    Oh…

  7. Imagine how different this game could have been if some vision-impaired individual didn’t make a really dumb strike three call. Keep the rally going, get a few runs, and things maybe play out very differently.

  8. Gausman allows 1 hit, no runs in 7 innings. And again absolutely nothing for run support.

And yes Jamie I do see an issue with Romano . Fastballs at 95 heart of plate. Ouch.

  9. I’m not a Romano hater .. but the guy is coming off a tough loss and was said to have a cracked fingernail.. why even bring him in here? Like what the hell was Schneider thinking

  10. That game was the season personified: elite starting pitching, zero plate production, no aggression or ability to manufacture a run, Vladdy hitting into dp’s, Schneider with a questionable decision and the Jays lose a very winnable game. Awesome😑

  11. Not going to come on here and say that Romano is the worst pitcher in all of the universe, but how do you not put in Hicks in that situation. He’s consistently not been good in non-save situations and his last outing was brutal. It’s like they’re afraid to hurt his feelings.

  12. Even if it made sense on paper 10th inning tied Romano >>>> 9th inning tied Romano.

Just one of the mysteries science can’t solve. I get why JS went for Romano in the 9th, every other manager would probably do the same, but I think if he went Hicks instead it stays a tied game and we finish them off in Extras

  13. Look, I am a Romano fan, anyone who thinks Romano isn’t a good closer doesn’t know what they’re talking about… but what was Schneids thinking here? He comes out for the ninth and Hicks for tenth? After the Lowe walkoff, after the chipped nail or whatever it was, Hicks and Romano should have been interchangeable for this game and ESPECIALLY coming off of an injury I’m trusting Hicks more in the ninth then in the tenth, not cause I think Jordan’s bad, just because it gives the Jays at least 1 more scoreless inning to walk it off and not having to worry about Jordan maybe still having his injury affect him and he gives up a run.

  14. Gausman has the fourth worst run support in MLB . Of course that is a full team stat, nothing really to do with Kevin. In his next regular season start ( if he has one) , he has an outside chance for his team to fuck up again and move Gausman into the even more shameful third place .

I’m so glad Gausman is signed for two more years. If he was a free agent , he would be gone for this stat alone.

  15. Relax folks.

Tomorrow is pretty much a guaranteed L with Cole on the mound.

We’ll win the last game and two out of three from Tampa and boom, we’re in.
