  1. Schneider is a poor bullpen manager but in this case: in a close game (0-0) you can’t rely on your best bullpen arm, is that your fault?

  2. Oh boy. I can just see Schneider mismanaging the bullpen again next week.

I hope Don keeps him from doing anything but argue with the umps on their wide strike zones.

  3. 9/10 managers are putting their closer in in that situation. What else is Schneider suppose to do? Save Romano for a save situation at home when it can’t happen during the rest of that game?

  4. Its not Schneider’s fault at all. Your closer doesn’t just get saves, he pitches your highest leverage innings whenever possible.

  5. Yankees win 1-0, or 20-0, doesn’t matter. Can’t win a damn thing without scoring a run. This one wasn’t on Romano, think of our “generational” talent that struck out after being ahead 3-0 in the count…yes, strike 3 was out of the zone by an inch, so what. His pops hit home runs off curve balls in the dirt

  6. This right here is the very definition of CLUTCH. Dude is a monster when the heat gets cranked up. Fuckin beauty.

  7. Are people actually criticizing Schneider for using his closer to preserve a tie in the 9th inning? You know, the guy who he normally goes to in high pressure situations?

  8. A guy isn’t your best reliever if he can apparently only mentally handle very niche and arbitrary situations (1-3 run leads in the 9th). I don’t blame Schneider tbh – you have to be able to turn to your closer in moments like tonight.

  9. Romanblow. Just know this guy gonna crap the bed from his flashy entrance. Guy thinks he’s Mariano Rivera coming in to the game
