  7. Marlins win!!! All tied up for the final spot! Miami has 1 more against the Mets, then 3 in Pittsburgh. Cubs have 1 more in Atlanta, then 3 in Milwaukee. Strap in, folks.

  8. 2023 Cardinals: 69-89

    1990 Cardinals: 70-88

    The 1990 Cardinals lost Game 158 8-0 to the Pirates, in a game where St. Louis had the same number of hits and errors, four apiece. The Pirates clinched the NL East with the win and a loss by the Mets.

    Vince Coleman, playing in his first game since Game 141, went 0-4. With only one home game left, and Bernard Gilkey having taken over in LF as the Cardinals go with youth, this may be the last game Coleman plays for St. Louis. Despite getting only 27 plate appearances in September, Coleman seems likely to win his sixth straight stolen base title with 77 SB.

  11. All sorts of good information today. I was wondering who the writers of SNL was during what I consider the funniest time of SNL. I absolutely despise current SNL and didn’t care about it much in the early 2000’s. That sweet spot was like 1987-1998. Found out some of the funniest years, Adam McKay, you would know from Talladega Nights, anchorman, and others was the head or co-head writer. Dave Attell, Conan, Saul Goodman

    Also, if you have Paramount+, The Offer is sensational. It’s the story of how The Godfather got made.
