Not the Astros
bring on whoever
As long as Carlos and Lewis are back… anyone.
I feel like we can beat all of them but it’s baseball so who knows?
Anyone but the Astros but it’s going to be the Astros and uh….I’m not feeling too confident.
Honestly, for a three game home series, I’m not concerned about any of them. Probably the Mariners if I had to pick.
Houston? Maybe?
Valdez game 1, France 2, JV 3.
Texas? If they fall to a WC, they’re gonna be sour after blowing a 2.5 game lead in 1 series.
Seattle? Only because they’ll likely have to empty their tanks to get into the postseason?
Jays? I have no idea what to think of them to be honest.
Bring on the stros. Let’s show the world we’re legitimate contenders
There’s an old story about General Grant in the Civil War, that he showed up to take command of the eastern US army after winning a series of battles in the west and grew frustrated with how scared his new subordinates were of Robert Lee. Grant admonished them that should “stop worry about what Bobby Lee is gonna do to us and start start thinking on what we’re gonna do to him.”
We have two legit top-10-in-the-league starters. Other teams shouldn’t want to face *us* in a three game series.
Also, I know it’s small sample size but we did got 4-2 vs Houston this year, taking 2 of 3 both at home and on the road. And this was before the offense turned around post all star break. Like they’ve added Verlander and Yordan is legit scary but we *have* beat them this year.
