  1. And with Blake Snell and Hader essentially gone as free agents, there’s going to be even more pressure on them to win next year. If SO signs elsewhere, I’d love to see Snell in a Dodgers uniform next season.

  2. The fact that they start balling out when they are 10 games under .500 with a few weeks left in the season is such a slap in the face to their fans. They couldn’t handle the pressure of the regular season, and can only play to their potential when there is nothing on the line? Pathetic

  3. [Expert Predicts Padres Win 2023 World Series, Hold 2 Parades in Celebration](https://www.si.com/mlb/padres/news/expert-predicts-padres-win-2023-world-series-hold-2-parades-in-celebration-rks97)

“The Padres and Blue Jays will meet in the World Series with the Padres winning their first world championship. The title will raise the ire of many major-league owners because the significant sums the Padres invested in players actually paid off. The city of San Diego ends up having two parades: a boat parade and a street parade.”

  4. Say all you want. When they still had a mathematical shot with 4 games left I had an uneasy feeling. If they snuck into the playoffs they could have been trouble. Glad they are done.
