This whole thing is so uncomfortable and unnecessary considering the context of how important this off-season is.
I really don’t think it was worth the PR hit to sign a guy that (hopefully) wouldn’t be needed to play a single meaningful minute this coming season. A very odd move by this FO, especially considering how much they appear to have valued good character up until now.
We are so desperate to have ANY young talent on this team that we keep Jason Preston and sign a PR nightmare. That’s what happens when you sell your soul for two players…
Lawrence getting desperate to keep his job
We probably won’t see him til he’s like 23 unless he’s fucked up again by then.
Sure, and all of them smiled and said, “Sounds great!”.
If he acknowledges he has a problem, got help and is continuing to get help and is on meds etc.. should someone not get a second chance?
