  1. Looks like no JTA unfortunately, but I guess they already know what what he’d bring to the team so they may as well get a closer look at some others.

Camp battle for the 14th spot? Gay filling that Andre role, but more physically able to soak up actual regular season minutes? Had a close look at bigs like Favors, Dedmon, and Howard, so I guess they could also be in play. Bazemore seems to be in and out of some summer workouts too. McGruder, feel like he’s there as some backcourt depth to help scrimmages and practices run smoother. With the Cory Jospeh signing, and drafting Podz, it seems like their guard rotation seems pretty set.

Donovan Williams is an interesting wing option (6’6). Still young and spent part of last season on a two-way with the Hawks (but he didn’t get much actual NBA run), played over 30 G-League games.

From what I remember of Kendric Davis during summer league, he struggled a bit. But he’s a UDFA rookie, so I guess that’s to be expected (not like Podz didn’t struggle). 6’0 PG, think he was courted by the Grizzlies but ended up signing with the Dubs partially because of Quinones. Assume he’s a camp body that will likely signing with Santa Cruz after. If Lester eventually gets promoted to the offical 15, maybe Davis could be a late season two-way signing?

Javan Johnson played college ball for 5 years, (was in college for 6, redshirted his 3rd year). UDFA like Davis, 6’6 wing/forward. Assume he’ll also end up in Santa Cruz, but maybe he and Williams end up battling for a two-way spot.

Jerome Robinson I’d assume is just a temporary filler for the 3rd two-way. He was at camp last year, and has been with the SeaDubs the past two-seasons, so I’m sure they already know what they have in him. Think they needed to sign a 3rd two-way to make sure they could have the max number suited up for camp?

Two-ways are pretty pain free to rotate out, money doesn’t count towards the tax. With Quinones and Garuba, adding a wing/forward as that 3rd two-way could be smart. Donovan Williams, Javan Johnson, maybe Lester Quinones if his international contract is sorted, maybe someone who gets waived from another camp? Will be interesting to see what they do with that 3rd spot.

  2. I think it is hilarious that they won’t even invite bigs to training camp lol. They are committed to the vision I’ll give them that.

  3. Call me crazy but I think we have one hell of a team, if CP3 isn’t completely washed off the bench they could legit win it all

Best starting 5 for the past 2 years I believe?

CP3, GP2, Moody, Kuminga and Saric could also be a top 3 2nd unit, I’m really excited

  4. Just a reminder that there’s still an upcoming bidding war for the Thunder guys who have to be cut.
