  1. Alex Sarr is an international prospect out of France, and is currently playing for the Perth Wildcats in the NBL (Australian pro league).

    Age and Measurements:
    Age On Draft Night 19
    Height 7’1″
    Weight 216
    Wingspan 7’4″

Recently Alex Sarr has shot up draft boards, going from the 14-20 range, up to top 5 on some boards.
The massive jump in his draft stock comes after a very impressive showing against the GLeague Ignite who have a number of high rated player on the roster this year (Ron Holland, Mata Buzelis, Izan Almansa).

In the first game, Sarr had the following stat line in the starting lineup:
    17 PTS, 7 REB, 1 AST, 6/13 FG, 2/3 3PT, 3/4 FT, 3 STL, 6 BLK, 5 TO, 3 PF, +/- of -5
In his second game, he came off the bench against the Ignite and had:
    26 PTS, 10 REB, 3 AST, 10/14 FG, 1/2 3PT, 5/7 FT, 0 STL, 6 BLK, 5 TO, 3 PF, +/- of +23
    Positives:

    * Great defense from him in both games with 6 blocks in each. Did a great job of avoiding fouls
    * Surprisingly efficient from both the FT and 3PT lines. Promising indicators of being a good shooter at the next level
    * Incredible defensive versatility, guarding 3-5 (less likely to be played off the floor in NBA)
    * Despite not starting in game 2, still had the mindset of making a big impact. Perth won this game 127-112

    Negatives:

    * Very high amount of TO’s. Coach seems to be confident with letting Sarr put the ball on the floor to try and create for himself and others. May not be something we see a lot at the next level

I think Sarr would be an incredible additional to the team for a few reasons.

    * Adds some much needed offensive versatility at Center. Gafford is solid defensively, but lacks a modern offensive game
    * Provides us with more height against the other giants in the league we’ll eventually compete with. Wemby (7’3), Chet (7’1), Mobley (6’11), Duren (6’11), Mark Williams (7’0), Marrkenan (7’0), Walker Kessler (7’0), Ayton (7’0).
    * Would love to see Bilal lock down the perimeter with Sarr roaming the paint.

Have you seen much of Sarr?
How would you feel about him on the Wizards?
Is there anyone else you’ve been keeping an eye on this draft?
