> The Clippers’ signing of Primo was met by strong pushback from fans on social media. Lawrence Frank, the Clippers’ president of basketball operations, told The Times the decision to sign Primo was preceded by “a great deal of conversation with people throughout the organization.” Female employees who interact most frequently with players were consulted on the decision, he said.
> “We took many steps to make sure that we could feel very confident that we will be able to create a safe and comfortable workplace,” he said.
> “We’ve spent a great deal of time for the last several months with Josh,” he said. “We’ve had specialists who we consult with who’ve evaluated Josh, and the reason why we’re moving forward is, based on their confidence level after the evaluations and what he’s doing currently, they feel he can be a positive contributor to the organization moving forward.”

Comfortable for the female employees or for him?
i’ll give him 3 months before he’s off the team again
Walk him around the facility and make sure he doesn’t immediately reach for his fly
There’s no defending the signing. It’s a risky move that has a lot of downsides and potentially puts team employees in an unnecessarily difficult position.
Cleveland Clippers
Browns owners “consulting their daughters” vibes
“Yeah our females were super cool and ok when we asked them if we could sign Primo, because of the implication….”
-Lawrence “the golden God” Frank
“*Clippers consulted female employees*”
“*But nobody said anything about listening to them*”
Always a good sign when your team is taking a page out from the Browns playbook.
Guess Primo will have to settle for showing dong to the male employees…
Is he that good that it’s worth that much effort?
An employer going around and asking these questions is almost as bad as bringing him on. What the fuck do you expect them to say.
“Are you OK with us hiring Primo, or are you happy to be looking for a new job?”
Primo’s contract actually stipulates that he must wear a chastity belt while at the team practice facilities.
He better not fuck up again because this could be his last chance to redeem himself
Every woman in that org is going to be avoiding Primo like the plague
I mean what are you supposed to say when your boss comes asking? lmao
“The nail that sticks out gets hammered down”
Most employees are just going to say whatever to keep their job. They won’t risk their career by complaining about a player who is likely more important to the team than they are.
Why does the league put itself in this position? Are players like Primo or Miles Bridges really worth it?
”say you are comfortable with the decision or you will be fired for mysterious reasons in the next few weeks”
“ Hey, you cool with Josh Primo coming here?”
“I work at the concession stand. I don’t know Josh Primo.”
“So you’re cool if he comes to work here?”
“Sure.”
You know, I’ve seen this sort of situation from the other side, and you know what almost every woman being asked to rubber-stamp men’s decisions about a problematic guy is thinking?
“If I don’t say this is fine, then I’m the problem.”
Now, look, players who have done much worse things that Josh Primo have gone on to have reasonable careers, and I certainly believe that rehabilitation is possible. I’m not familiar enough with the specifics of Primo’s case to have a strong opinion.
But man, do they should not do this “We asked the women, and they’re fine with it,” thing.
I’m a believer in second chances. But to get a second chance you have to admit you did something wrong. Primo hasn’t done that to my knowledge. So it’s hard for me to buy that they are comfortable with him based on their assessments when he hasn’t taken accountability for his actions .
As if those female employees had any true agency to tell their superiors, who had almost certainly given a strong indication upon approaching said female employees that they themselves were okay with bringing on a player with a history of frequent and wanton sexual harassment of female employees, if they weren’t comfortable with it. Workplace power dynamics 101
They really spent months in the war room deciding whether to sign Josh fucking Primo? Yeah okay lmao
Like any of them could have said no… and found their position randomly eliminated the next day lol.
Running around with your dick out hits different in LA ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
