Today we hugged Chris for the last time and said goodbye as he went to give four people the gift of life by donating his kidneys, liver and lungs. We are deeply broken and deeply proud. In life and in death, Chris never stopped giving. We walk forward with his light guiding us.

  1. Not all heroes wear capes😢🫡 May the afterlife be kind to you grab your skates and stick and hit the pond in the sky

  2. 4 years.

Chris battled this debilitating disease for 4 fucking years.

Most of us call in sick when we have a bum tum. This warrior showed up everyday to a job he loved. Truly a strong and inspirational human being.

Thank you Chris for everything you’ve done for this organization.

    Truly forever a flame

(Now that it’s final, I’m copy and pasting my comment to the original news post again here. Because it only rings even more true with such a large donation from the NHLPA to his gofundme. He truly touched everyone he came into contact with, most of us can only hope to be a quarter of the human that Chris was. Forever a flame. Forever in all our hearts)
