[Phillips] Prior to the game, Sean Casey told multiple reporters in separate interviews that the #Yankees wanted him back. Postgame, Aaron Boone said that Casey’s comments were “jumping the gun,” and Casey clarified that he has not been made an offer. The story below has been updated.

If it is the latter, he’s not a big free agent acquisition so why the fuck do they care so much

12. I suspect all that stuff is on hold pending the outcome of the “external review”. I’m sure they told him they DO want him back, but nothing is fully decided and finalized til the review is completed. Or something like that.

14. Remember the only reason we got AROD, eventual Yankee MVP and 09 WS champion, is because Boone tore his knees playing basketball offseason which voided his contract. He should give the same advice to some of these bums
