Reuniting Zegras with Caufield and Montembeault?

Nvm I read the article. No on Guhle trade. We can’t afford to lose him.
Dach, Zegras, Caufield, Newhook.
We’d be one player away from assembling the 2019 draft Exodia.
Stylistically i dont think hes the type of player tgey are looking for.
If they are spending big assets they either want a bonafide 1B centre to co.pliment suzuki which would allow them to flex dach to the wing and have a viable 2nd line or essentially a finished product version of slaf for that wing spot.

You’d hope that the organization learned the lesson from trading the promising young defender Sergachev a few years ago. I mean, I know it wasn’t the same people involved in that trade but you have to hope someone was paying attention to how that turned out.
I don’t know if I would want to lose Guhle for Zegras…
Also, I don’t want another Gomez for McDonaugh or Drouin for Sergachev situation.
Cole Caufield+, or Nick Suzuki+
Nothing else gets it done. Doesn’t make sense for the Habs.
The skill Zegras has at under 23 and the stuff he’s pulling off on a low minus shit tier team is bonkers. If we have an opportunity to trade players at a fair value for him I’d be ok with it. The kid has top 10 nhl player written all over him
In the article they talk about Ghule, and I think if he’s involved in a package for Zegras you have to look at what you would rather have a solid defender who has potential to be our next Weber in Ghule on the back end, or a caufield-suzuki-zegras combo which I truly think can be a top line in the league and wreak havoc.
Also if we had Caufield and Zegras plus eventually Reinbacher and Hutson that is a nasty first line paring for offence and defence.
