  1. **the good:**

    – geno smith played tough football and came back into the game after dealing with a lower leg injury in the first half.

    – tyler lockett and dk metcalf were reliable targets again, the only incompletion was on a DK catch that was ruled out of bounds.

    – michael dickson keeps proving why he is the best punter in the league.

    – the defense created 3 turnovers which lead to 17 points.

    – the offensive line held up for the most part, geno and lock both had around 3-4 seconds per pass attempt and K9/charbs had some nice holes today.

    – the defense got to the QB a lot, 10+ sacks and multiple TKL’s.

    – devon witherspoon and tariq woolen is a scary CB duo for any QB facing them.

    – quandre diggs got himself a much needed INT.

    – dremont jones, myles adams, uchenna nwosu, boye mafe, jarren reed, bobby wagner, devin witherspoon, mario edwards jr, and cameron young were all over the QB.

    – drew lock had a nice drive to finish the 1st half.

    **the bad:**

    – jamal adams got concussed (hoping it’s not major).

    – a lot of other major injuries in the IOL and DL.

    – jason myers is off to an inconsistent start but i think he’ll figure it out.

in conclusion, this team is fun, dangerous, and can compete with any team, we have a HUGE bye week to clean up some injuries to prepare for a big game against the struggling bengals, GO HAWKS!! 💙💚

  2. Statement win, didn’t play down to the comp. Feels good enjoy the bye week fellow 12s

  3. Fuck the Giants, fuck the Refs.

What a great team win. Hate that we got banged up but we keep on persevering. Glad we have the early BYE right now. Good to go 3-1 going into the BYE. Next week is worry free football for us. Let’s heal up and kick some ass going forward. Hope Jamal is okay too, I hate the toxic hatred some people have for him.

Also, how bout Witherspoon!!! 🥄 Let’s give it up for the rookie, what a hell of a game. He’s like Sherm and Jamal’s love child. Him and Woolen is going to be special for a long time to come.

    Go Hawks!! We run NY!

  4. I’ve only had Devon Witherspoon for a day and a half, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.

  5. This was our best post-LoB defensive showing and I won’t hear any arguments otherwise

  6. Not sure how much of that was us being good or the Giants being atrociously bad. The offense looked a little sluggish but they did what they needed to do. Good win!

  7. Looking at what’s happening to the Giants makes me so incredibly thankful that *our* almost entirely backup line is actually functional. Imagine, just imagine a world where our line looked like theirs does. Our backups deserve enormous credit.

  8. As I said all week, wasn’t worried at all about this game. In fact, this was the most confident I am in any game on our schedule. The Giants are trash (and also apparently dirty af). Go Hawks!

Oh, and ‘Spoon is a dawg. Can we stop with the Jalen Carter talk now? Let’s goooooo

  9. It’s so nice to watch the Seahawks throttle bad teams instead of playing down to their level. 2nd half of the Panthers game and this was vintage Hawks.

  10. Witherspoon looks like a monster back there at corner. Physical af with high football IQ to be at the right place at the right time. Excellent play, especially as a rookie. We also had 10 sacks, in a game where Jarran Reed was out the 4th quarter. Hope this shuts down the Jalen Carter whining that for some reason still creeps up here and there.

Entire defence seemed to be farming stats tonight to hit their contract incentives for the season lmao.

Edit: 11 sacks. I lost count of how many sacks we had. I eh at a great game

  11. G fucking g’s. I haven’t had that much fun watching our defense in many years. I’m getting a Witherspoon jersey. Also fuck the refs. I love how their flags disappeared once it became a blowout. Rest up Seahawks. Adams I truly hope you’re good. I hate seeing talent blown apart through injuries.

  12. Riq and Spoon. Who’s got a better CB duo? Idc if it’s premature lol these dudes are STARS

  13. Seahawks Dominate Giants, r/Seahawks Game Thread Complains Constantly Throughout: more on B2

  14. I said this last year but it’s impossible to know if Jones is any good with the way he has to run for his life every play. David Carr flashbacks. I legit feel sorry for him

  15. That was an absolute feast on Defense. Beautiful display we haven’t seen that kind of physical domination in Metlife since…

Here’s to hoping Jamal, Haynes, Reed, Lewis all made it out okay. Did I miss anybody? GENO?! Good lord.

  16. Defense balled out. Absolutely carried this team. I think we need to be way more concerned about the offense after this game though. They only converted 3 3rd downs all night. 0/2 on 4th down. Missed a FG. Only real successful drive was Drew Lock. Geno played angry and it wasn’t a good look. Still only using JSN for screens for some reason…. still throwing screens for some other reason. Oline had even more injuries today, but still balled out. Generally felt like the offense didnt care tonight, and wasnt focused.

That said, im all for this defense, and I hope a lot of these guys are feeling way better after the bye! Go Hawks.

  17. Pffft. 6 tackles, 2 sacks, and a pick six? That’s all?

Jalen Carter would have had 7 tackles, 28 sacks, a pick eight, and fixed the U.S. economy.

Seahawks really messed up with that 5th pick tbh.

  18. Witherspoon currently has more sacks this year than jalen carter and a pick six…… In a single game

  19. Seeing a lot of JSN slander on the TL. Just like Spoon – give him time, once the tackle situation is sorted out I’ve no doubt he’s gonna show exactly why he was a top 20 pick.

  20. I don’t know how Doofus Daboll won COTY last season and Carroll didn’t get a single 1st place vote
