2023 Week 4 PFF & GTP Combined Tiers

  1. Random tidbits from this week:

    – Both PFF and GTP agree: Rashan Gary is the best. Royce Newman is the worst.
    – Lots of young players week to week performance is very volatile, not surprising, but notable.
    – Still not sure what the team expects to do on offense when the entire interior OL isn’t very good.
    – Surprised Valentine scored “okay” this week, his run defense was atrocious and he seemingly got benched.

And because I know people won’t read the graphic itself:

    – Yellow is totally fine!
    – The stars are essentially a confidence/accuracy rating, one star means that the grade that PFF gave and the grade that GTP gave were within one standard deviation. AKA, both sources agree on how a player played. Over the course of the season in the “total” tier players can earn more stars by meeting snap count thresholds.

  2. Our entire iOL being in the red is incredibly sad, and there’s way too much yellow on the defensive side after how much we’ve invested.

  3. Proposed fuck at least we can run for 4 ypc OLine:
    Lt: walker
    Lg: Myers
    C: Tom
    RG: Rhyan
    RT: Jones

  4. What do the stars indicate, and why do players who have stars all have 1?

    Seems like visual static.

  5. Not enough purple/green on D considering how much is invested there. D should very comfortably be far ahead of the O given how much investment there has been.
