If yall thought r/nfl was bad, youtube is no different . They are cherry picking homers in that undisputed video (same with Richard Sherman not just the commenters) saying how oh “refs don’t decide the game” “chiefs been holding all game long” acting like they’re the only ones who should be flagged and not considering other factors. Far as I’m concerned the refs also don’t throw the ball like how Wilson did in the first half. Sure ain’t responsible for that
Anyways yeah they are that kinda team now.
I think 24 hours is enough for our outrage at NFL non-ball-knowers’ outrage to subside, yeah? I see lots of people quietly admitting that the calls didn’t give the game to the Chiefs now, and the mob is moving on to Daniel Jones & Brian Daboll, so yeah.
Looking back over the game, I’m hoping that the Jets defense just is that good. Our O-line was shaky – on top of the penalties they gave up a lot of pressure on Pat, and the WR room was yikes. Mahomes also didn’t look like himself at all. We’ll see how they perform against a shaky Vikings squad, but I am joining the list of people Worried About the Receivers.
That said, though, a lot of positives. We put more points on the Jets in 1 quarter than the Bills, current darlings now that Miami is old and busted, did in an entire game. Mahomes had two bone-headed picks but made plays to end the game, and we could have hung 30 on that defense if we wanted to (and that’s not just homer cope, Mahomes literally slid at the goal line!). The defense held the Jets to 11 points outside *those* two calls, and that’s as good as Belichick’s Patriots did the week before, despite Zack Wilson playing well. On the whole, gg, see you in a bit Jets.
Looks like the Jets (without Rodgers) may have a better QB situation than the Giants. Football is weird.
