What did we expect they’d say at this fan event? That they’d probably not even make the playoffs and at the most win 1 or 2 more playoff games is all? I’m not sure why we’re hitting them for predicting success with the roster and money they’re spending.

Apologies for posting a video of a team in our division that completely fell flat on their face on a prediction they made. I can see how this somehow implies that I am obsessed with them and not just some random post I came across on twitter 😂. I will now dedicate all of my “focus” from my office chair at work on the Brewers or Diamondbacks in hopes to somehow help the Dodgers win.

But, holy shit – I’ve seen plenty of preseason predictions from dominating sports teams/single players forever, from Alabama to Tom Brady, to the Agassi/Sampras to Federer/Nadal/Djokovic years, from the Bulls dynasty to the Lakers Kobe dynasty, to Messi & Argentina. NEVER, FUCKING EVER, do you see real champions make this kind of bullshit hype beforehand, saying “It doesn’t matter who we face, we’re gonna win anyway.”
Everyone, including our fan base, thought the Padres were going to be better than what they were, including the Padres players. For them to say all this at a fan fest isn’t all that bad. Even showing a bit of modesty at a fan fest would be a weakness to the fans.
I never thought we wouldn’t win the division, so whatever @ this.
