Hes made some dumb decisions in the playoffs over the years but man, idk what Craig was thinking here….
Ummm how about Turang hitting with the bases loaded in the 5th against a lefty who was just brought in? Has to be Monasterio there
I get what he was thinking. Winker walks and Craig wanted a baserunner. But the guy just can’t hit anymore. He looked like an absolute fool up there. He should not be on this playoff roster. At least with Rowdy there is a chance he puts one in the seats.

Part of me is “In Craig We Trust”
But there’s a whole lot of me that’s like “Dammit Craig, Garrett spent more time away than Winker, and in his first game back got a double and two walks — why is Winker here”
You can’t make it make sense, it’s broken my brain to the point that I’m fully out on analytics if somehow they suggested Winker should do anything other than be a cheerleader, which I have analytically that Rowdy would be better at.
