  1. This sucks imo. Taking way less accountability than he should, the “a lot to be optimistic about” line is straight propaganda.

  2. Good to see winning as a commitment gets couched in the co-equal commitments of togetherness, nostalgia, and rookies. Just come out and say that you value ticket sales, group ticket sales, and cheap labor since the winning part seems to have skipped the on field product and gone right into team valuation wins.

  3. Three more $25m players is all we need, Larry. Stop blowing smoke up our skirt and write the checks.

  4. This hatchet job against Kapler is fucking gross.

    YOU GAVE HIM A TERRIBLE AWFUL SUB .500 ROSTER AND HE PERFORMED BETTER THAN I THOUGHT HE WOULD THIS YEAR. But yeah sure, fire the guy who you gave a crap roster to, and then RUB THAT CRAP ROSTER IN OUR FACES AND TELL US ITS A GOOD ROSTER.

    Man, we ain’t dumb. Maybe Kapler wasn’t the answer. But firing Zaidi IS 100% the answer and I would love to see what Kapler could do with a team not built by Zaida (see 2021).

  5. lol wtf do y’all expect?

    “Larry needs to personally suck my dick and apologize to my entire family, fire everyone, win 162 games and sign the ghost of Babe Ruth! Anything less and I swear I’m selling my jerseys!” – this sub

  6. This letter says: “Trust me bro”

    The fact that we had 12 rookies make their debut speaks volumes about the quality of the team assembled.

    Every position was a major league failure.
    * Starting pitching? Rookie debut
    * Bullpen pitching? Rookie debut
    * Corner infielder? Rookie debut
    * Middle infielder? Rookie debut
    * Corner outfielder? Rookie debut
    * Center field? Rookie debut
    * Catcher? Rookie debut

    Quality teams don’t have this happen

  7. Pretty sure people in the A’s and Royals subs are less unhinged than some Giants fans lately…as a fan that went to a few games this year I at least appreciate the message

  8. I guess thanking Kap is asking too much after throwing him under the bus. Chickenshits, I’ll say it, Thanks Gabe it was them, not you. Thanks also to the r/sfgiants mods and subs for all the fun here

  9. Hey Larry, try redirecting those political donations into improving the quality of your on-field product!

  10. Larry used to nail this fan engagement, this doesn’t feel like his heart is in it but the Giants acknowledging their product and brand is off is a start.

    It also reads like he’s been hearing a lot of complaints from older fans he knows.

  11. As a Giants fan since the 1960s, I hope the team greatly improves next season, if not Farhan needs to go. Hopefully the new manager does not over rely on analytics like Kapler, and the Giants bring in some more talent.
