I mentioned this the other day, so glad to see it a bit in practice. The Lively/Maxi frontcourt is going to be a really good grouping. Lively covers up Maxis biggest weakness defensively and on offense, gives Luka and Kai a better roll man than Maxi.
There’s a lot of teams that roll out 2 bigs at the 4 and 5. Last year we didn’t have the size on defense to compete with some of those bigger frontcourts like Denver, Minnesota, the Suns, Lakers, Milwaukee, hell even Utah.
I am more bullish on Lively than some, and while his offensive game needs work, he can contribute to this team defensively right now.
