A team we should be looking at for potential trades: the Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have 4 starter quality point guards on their roster. We have none.

Some kind of deal where we send Lowry and a pick and get back Fultz or Suggs and filler could be a win win for both teams. Magic get a solid vet presence who can provide leadership to their young team, clears out the logjam at guard somewhat (Lowry won’t play), and get a pick for it.

Thoughts?

  4. I just don’t think Fultz or Cole Anthony would fit here. We need a pg that can hit 3’s, Fultz can’t do that and Cole isn’t even a pg really.

    I actually think both are substantial downgrades when the postseason comes around. There’s rosters where Fultz can work on but this isn’t one of them.

  6. People, can’t we just simply wait until the season starts BEFORE forming ideas for trades?? I’m still recovering from Dame going to Milwaukee. 😢

  7. Coke Anthony does give off “dudes barely in the league until the Heat sign him and he balls out, earning a fat contract elsewhere and never being heard from again” player. Except he’s currently better than just about all of our rehab players

  8. I don’t see how to make the money work for this, we have trade exemptions that can absorb his 5mil contract but we are 1.8 million below the second apron and I doubt mickey or pat want to cross that bridge for cole Anthony. Could be part of a multi team deal though.

  9. Trade Duncan and a 2nd Pick for Cole Anthony. Keep Lowry as a back up and let him expire at the end of the year.

  10. That’s the thing, Pat will never do this cause he keeps thinking he has the assets for a star so he will keep whale hunting and falling short instead of going for pieces like what the magic have

  12. I feel like Cole would have some serious potential to break out in Miami. As someone who watches both Florida teams, Cole just needs to work on his consistency to really take that next step

  13. Y’all sleepin on Fultz. I proposed a trade w/ them for Kyle and a pick months ago and it got mixed reviews lol

  15. Yes they are a good team to steal talent from lol. Honestly though we are going to end up with Embied in the end so unless it’s straight robbery we need to not waste any assets, however I strongly think that Arison is the reason why we lose out on trades for stars sometimes

  16. I’ve been saying this for 2 months, but with Cole Anthony. They want the 2 you mentioned, but they don’t want Cole.

    Doubt they give Heat anything in my lifetime
