The confidence in each other was astonishing! Sonny to just turn and throw trusting Correa would be there, Correa already on a knee trusting that Sonny would nail the throw to him right on target.
I love that Correa orchestrated it earlier in the game and they waited until the moment was perfect. I know Sonny went into detail in a post-game interview, but I want to hear every POV possible on how this play came to be.
You know, I do feel a bit bad for Vlady. Not for the play, but for the conversation everyone will be having about him. I was watching a bit from TSN (Canadian ESPN) where they were interviewing a guy who covers the Blue Jays. He said this would probably go down as one of the biggest postseason blunders of all-time in Jays history, and that without a doubt, it will be talked about for years and decades to come.
Thank the Twins fan’s for the assist, Vlad couldn’t hear the 3rd base coach telling him to go back.
The energy and environment was great to watch.
It was only possible for Correa to call this play on Pitchcom because of his sign-stealing scandal.
