To not be mediocre….. what a choice of words man. First you apologize, then say that you’re not going to be mediocre after preparing us to be mediocre next season. I love the Mariners, but this is just so frustrating to watch.

Why is GQ Jerry still in front of the microphone? He’s not GM anymore. Let’s get Hollander out there, he’s the one who negotiated the trades now anyways. Sick of seeing and hearing from this snake oil salesman that loves to hear himself talk

He’s not saying that their goal is “to not be mediocre”, he’s saying their goal is *not* “to be mediocre”. He’s rejecting mediocrity, he’s saying the right thing. But sure, this is the internet, gotta twist his words to have something to be angry about.

You could be the Brewers, making the playoffs every year but never winning a game once you’re in
He’s basically saying they wanna be the Guardians and Rays. Just get into the playoffs a bunch of times and hope that one of the times you get hot enough to win it all. Hasn’t worked for the Guardians and Rays yet though.
