Not very smart on the Twins part to only bring one lefty against the Astros.
Absolutely no reason that they have 5 starters plus Paddock on the roster instead.
I would have left off Ryan or Paddock for Funderburk. The easy answer would have been Paddock
Not surprising. The only spot you’d theoretically use Funderburk is against Alvarez/Tucker/Brantley and well… I trust somebody like Stewart much more even if he’s right handed.
i think the real story here is that they are sticking with a 14/12 split between fielders and pitchers.
an absolute statement in the confidence in their pitching rotation and bullpen.

I really do think the move is to play to your strengths in the playoffs. I’d rather have one of our bullpen studs pitching against Alvarez than Funderburk.
