Little harsh or am I just being bias?

What did the thunder need to really address that we didn’t already have? Got Chet back so that solves a lot of our front court problems. We have a young team so offseason is more time to get better. I’d would have said “B+”.

  1. I mean im fine with a c we didn’t do anything crazy good or bad so it doesn’t really matter

  2. But we didn’t really do anything. We didn’t make any major moves that anyone else in the NBA is going to care about.

If both Micic and Cason are major contributors it might get looked back on as a B, but no chance is anything we have done worthy of more than that and that is ok.

  3. A C is fine. It was pretty uneventful/average. And we didn’t get as much as previous years for taking on salary since so many teams also needed to do the same thing with the new CBA.

I think you need a good trade/FA acquisition for a B, and a big splash (like Dame or Jrue) for an A.

Edit: CBS gave us an A- for getting Wallace and not doing anything stupid; but they also only gave the Heat a C- instead of an F.

  4. I’m not against the grade. OKC didn’t do anything to improve their winning odds, they just didn’t do anything to hurt it either. Presti’s playing the long game and I’m good with that. He’ll give it the year with the young guys, judge how the West looks (and where OKC sits), then make moves based on that.

  5. And that is fine.

Many in the national media want the Thunder to make a splashy move due to their unprecedented number of draft picks over the next 6-7 years and they don’t understand not using those assets to immediately upgrade the roster.

Most of the Thunder’s progress will be internally from getting Chet back healthy, growth from the core of young players who will get better, the draft and the cohesion that this group has with each other. It isn’t splashy, sexy or headline grabbing, and that is okay,

As a Thunder fan, I am pleased with where this team is and where it is headed. Outside noise is irrelevant.
