  1. That same man held Aaron Donald solo all Super Bowl but hasn’t really been the same since. That was a long time ago

  2. He doesn’t care anymore. He got his money and his ring.

He won’t be in the league next season.

  3. I literally watched him whiff (i.e. make no contact with a defender he was trying to block) at least 3 times yesterday. That size was a big advantage when he was younger, but it’s also a big disadvantage as he ages…he’s 30.

  4. When he’s healthy and motivated he’s one of the best tackles in the game.

But if one thing goes wrong, his play slides down dramatically

  5. He’s like the only guy on the line that was doing good though? Andrews has been meh and everyone else has been absolute shit.

PFF had him as the second best tackle before yesterdays game. I know PFF can be stupid, but he can’t have been that bad.

  6. It’s a motivation issue. When he gives a shit he’s a great OT. When he doesn’t, you get what happened yesterday.

Problem is I can’t tell the different between this picture and our offensive line.

  8. The knock on him has always been self control and motivation. Dante got him to work , other coaches are failing.

  9. Dude’s got a reputation for taking plays off when he’s not motivated, & he’s been pissed off since signing the extension last year & then being moved to LT.

Might be time to cut your losses and move on, because I don’t see him getting better as the year goes on.

  10. He’s officially only here collecting/stealing paychecks at this point. He looks completely uninspired and unmotivated out there. The only upside is at least he’s not publically calling the fans out for being “sheep” and “burger flippers” like the Giants’ offensive linemen are (not yet anyways).

  11. If it was just size, we’d recruit from that 600-life show.

Though, maybe that’s not a bad idea.

  12. Maybe if mac stepped up into the pocket instead of running backwards it would be easier to block the inside rush ?

  13. This rod is clearly throwing games. Whether it’s just due to a lack of motivation or gambling, it’s pretty apparent to those watching.

  14. The best Defensive players use speed and technique. The best Defensive player can get around anyone, especially if the Defense is worn down because the Offensive can’t keep T.O.P.

  15. He gave up, you can see it as the game went on. He just decided to stop putting in the effort. Simple as that.

  16. He doens’t care. Its always been a thing with him. If he cares and he wants to do well he will, if he’s just in a mood.. forget it.

They need to see if they can ship him off. For anything. Last pick in the draft? Ok good. GTFO of here. Whats the point? Put someone out there that sucks but at least cares abit. An undrafted free agent will give you the same results, suck.

  17. He’s done. He ain’t giving any effort. Doesn’t se the team as a contender. He’s given up and collecting pay check with bare minimum effort. Go Pats!

  18. Hate to say it but the O’line issues come back to Mac I think. I keep trying to blame them, but i’m realizing that as a group they just have lost all faith in Mac and doesn’t care if he gets hit. And with Mac trying to cheap shot people every other game, I can see why these guys would want him to eat a piece of humble pie. It seems like everyone on the team and beyond has lost faith in Mac except for the coaching staff, which is the opposite of how everyone thought it would be. I don’t know if Mac can right this ship at this point. He basically has to keep a competitive nature while being pleasant to be around, something he obviously struggles with.

  19. Are surprised when big LBs get beat by small, shifty RBs? What I’m mostly seeing is the OL getting beat with quickness and technique.

One of the issues with the rebuild is that BB went big at OL to counter league trends (smaller DL/LBs) but the OL we have lack lateral agility/technique. Going big at OL can work, and has for other teams, notably Philly. Not much you can do when you can’t run the ball or pass protect.

  20. My dude should stop blocking dudes. No, he needs to be telling them before the snap that he will physically consume their familly if they even think of getting by him.

  21. Everyone just goes around his fatass. He can’t move. If someone doesn’t just run into him and get pancaked he’s useless.
