[Lance Hornby] Hall and Oates are out. Leafs confirm they will change goal song ‘Dreams’ to a selection of three or four tunes based on Original Six games, Next Generation, Throwback Thursdays and a regular season standard to be unveiled tonight.
For my money, I don’t know if it gets any better than when Michael Bolton sings When A Man Loves a Woman
I didn’t hate this goal song as much as some of the fan base but it was long past time to change it. After hearing that song ring out through a silent arena after Nylander’s meaningless goal in game 7 against the habs, I can’t help but feel angry every time I hear it now.

Amazing idea to change it to 4 different songs for theme nights, I cant wait to hear it tonight!
I actually enjoy the song, but as a goal song it always came across as extremely corny. Not sure what they’ll replace it with, but it should be something that gets the crowd going and makes the other team feel like we are stepping on their throats.

I LOVED The Whip by Locksley a few years back. I also liked hall and oates because God DAMN do I want my Stanley Cup dreams to come true.
