  1. That sickening feeling in the 9th when you think “if he hits it out, that’s it” before the swing and miss.

2012 was the most fun of the 3.

  2. SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS LEGEND MAT LATOS

…. we did him wrong, how do we still not have a bobblehead of him of this moment?

  3. I listened to this game and the game that went 19innings while driving on the road and the calling was so epic and enjoyable.

  4. I was sitting in Kezar Pub in SF and I remember saying to my friends, “Watch him hit a grand slam right here.” Unbelievable.

  5. We jumped around our living room like lunatics, whooping our heads off. What a post season that was.

  6. Aight I got a photo that depicts a great moment at this time and it might out me but who gives a shit.

I had just moved to Cincinnati from Nor Cal. Working at Verizon Wireless at the time and the store is listening to the game on the radio. I am outnumbered and repping the Giants as I always do. I snapped this picture of my co-workers when the game was nearing the end and it just shows the tension in the building. Somehow my feed on my phone was a little faster than the radio broadcast and I was able to put the fuckin nail in the coffin and celebrate like 10 seconds before the game was over on the radio.

This was one of the hardest times in my life. I moved my family across the country (that’s a whole saga) and had no friends outside of my wife and kid. I was dealing with a lot and juggling the world at the time trying to keep it all together while pretending I had everything in control. All I had to look forward to was baseball and the boys came through for me.

  7. i’m pretty convinced 2012 was our best roster of the three championship seasons and yet it took magical heroics like this just to get to the world series. kinda makes you question the modern playoff format

  8. I was at work, listening in on KNBR in my work truck. I remember exactly the moment they called that. GD. That place got QUIET

  9. 2010 got the monkey off my back (fuck you 2002 angels) so retired much of my stressed fandom but this was a tremendous moment.

  10. I can watch that homer off Latos on a loop for hours. And, what a catch by Pagan. And, I think he led off the game with a home run to start things off. He was a true sparkplug for the Giants in all facets of the game. During the Parade that year, I cant remember who was doing the TV “play by play” (was it Jon Miller?), but when they showed Pagan on camera when his part of the motorcade went by, he made sure to mention Pagan’s heroics during that series, and that game.

  11. Oh no, now I’m in an unproductive neverending loop of just watching the old classic in the recommended videos…
