  1. I love that Brad is calling out Scal when Scal says it’s over.

I’ve been so frustrated many times when Scal had Jinxed us

  2. I want Queta to play with the main guys next game. I’m tired of seeing Kornet out there. Cool vibe guy and all but to be frank he fucking sucks at basketball. I still refuse to believe Kornet will actually be apart of the rotation.

  3. It’s THE PRITCHING HOUR again tonight!

Three preseason games = three hi team scores for Pritchard.

  4. Sometimes Svi looks amazing surgically slicing through defense like near the end then he’ll randomly trip over himself dribbling and nearly turn it over with no defender near him lol
Still impressed he and PP killing it whole preseason and glad to see Hauser get some redemption, he obviously was gonna find his shot and soon, he’s a sniper

  5. Most folks, myself included, have assumed that there’s a 3 way competition between Svi, Lamar and Brissett for backup wing minutes after Hauser, and I gotta say that at least based on the preseason Svi is running away with said competition.

I’m still not even sure I can say Lamar or Brissett provide enough on offense to justify what they bring on defense, but Svi is out here looing like a legit rotation player. He was out there grabbing rebounds, driving it in and diming up his teammates, hitting 3’s and even pulled it up for a beautiful middy.

Svi’s play from the end of last season with CHA definitely seems to have carried over, and if so Brad Stevens may have un-Earthed himself another hidden gem.

  6. I hope Queta gets more minutes next game to see whether his performance tonight was a fluke. He looked like a solid rebounder and defender who could score in a pinch, and his passing was surprisingly good. I could definitely see him taking our 3rd center spot over Kornet if tonight’s performance was accurate.

  7. dudes saying queta is better than kornet. please tell how this is different from last seasons kabengele > kornet takes. ill wait

  8. Identical threes, assists, and blocks. We won because of our FG% (2 more buckets on 4 less attempts), drawing fouls, and getting rebounds.

  9. The only reason kornet would get playing time over queta is because he’s been here longer. Queta is just a better player than kornet and should be the third big.

Admittedly, queta isn’t anything special and I’d still probably prefer a trade at the deadline or a buyout pickup instead of both kornet and queta. But for the options on the roster right now queta should be ahead of kornet on the depth chart imo.

  10. I don’t think you can expect too much from guys like Brissett, Banton, Stevens, Queta, and Gabriel on the offensive end. They’re not great scorers or playmakers. But the effort and energy is there and is exactly what this team needs. We need guys that don’t take plays off and can make a defensive impact.

Out of all those guys Brisett seems like the most likely to get minutes. Banton has some good off ball actively and stays engaged. Stevens looks pretty limited with his size and can’t really shoot but is disciplined and has the tools.

Svi is a legit rotational player for us that can score. I’m all in on the Ukrainian.

Oh and Walsh has wings for arms and is a really good rebounder.

  11. Good to see Hauser making shots tonight. Even if Svi takes most of those minutes next season it will be nice having an extra 3 point threat in case somebody’s injured

  12. Omg we’re finally going to be able to contain elite fast guards now. We haven’t been able to stop those guys ever

  13. Between Walsh, Brissett, Stevens, and Svi, I think Brad did a great job of providing some depth at wing. I like what all those guys bring as long as they are playing next to Brown or Tatum

  14. What was Scal squawking about re: Joe and Banton? Was Banton snapping at Joe when Joe pulled him out in the third? I didn’t see anything ominous in their exchange.

  15. The hit with Abby where she said that Holiday said he would be fine coming off the bench was interesting. Scal said there’s no shot but Zach Lowe was floating the other day that he thought the Celtics might stick with that lineup construction.

If they like starting Horford I don’t mind it. In the regular season you probably want 29 year old Derrick White playing more minutes than 33 year old Holiday and it’s hard to play a guy 35-36 minutes off the bench because they have to play ~18 consecutive minutes each half without a rest. Let Holiday be the Ginobili/Iguodala and play ~30 minutes a game in the regular season

  16. queta putting up a better stat line than kornet in half the time, nothing more needs to be said
