Believe me I think Giannis IS number 1 ; but the minute the Nuggets won the championship all ESPN talked about was “passing of the torch” to Jokic from Giannis
I’m honestly very surprised it’s not jokic. Thought Giannis would be second.
Giannis is my #1 but it’s dumb not to have Jokic. He just had one of the best postseasons in history. This is probably just to generate clicks and faux outrage imo.
Rankings don’t matter in the long run but it’s still very cool to have a top 3 guy. An additional top 12 guy, and a tertiary top 50 guy.

As a Jokic fan, I agree on Giannis being at No.1 because he is a beast on offense and on defense as well. No player that isn‘t elite at both ends of the floor should be considered No. 1.
