1. Ruff is the young forward whisperer. He definitely had a hand in helping Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn reach their peak while HC of the Stars

2. The development of our young core exploded under Ruff. All of the young prospects are more or less coming into fruition. Even players that struggled to make the jump like McLeod have found ways to regularly contribute. Bringing Ruff back long term was the right move, especially when we have players like Holtz and Nemec on the cusp and players like Gritsyuk and Hameenaho looking to join in the future. Ruff knows how to get the most out of these players and is part of the reason why we will be such a dangerous team for a long time.
