I love JDV, but Belt’s a better player now, and it’s not the right match. That turf takes him out of being able to play 1B at home, and it’s not the lineup that works for his profile in the position he’d likely be hitting. If he could play 80% of his games in Baltimore and New York, yes, but I’m not seeing it.
