## Some Observations from the Game

* Both teams seemed to use this game as a mini dress rehearsal, mostly, playing their regular rotation through 3 quarters (Mitchell actually led all players in MPG at 29).

* **DG** was COOKING early and ended up with more points than minutes (19 points in 17 mins which led all players) imo he goes for 40+ if he plays this entire game, DG had an absolutely blistering TS% of 73.8%.

* I continue to be impressed with **Ty Jerome** and even though I get cooked for it, I think he is going to have an outsized impact on this team as he has a good feel for playmaking (game high 6 assists) and is a sniper.

* I was impressed, again, with **Emoni Bates** whose points total matched his minutes total (12) shooting 50% from the field and from 3, said at the time of the draft he might be the best big shooting wing in his entire draft and that looks truer each time we see him play. Get some weight on him and he’s going to help the big club soon.

* **Strus** is more than just a pure shooter, had a nice game tonight across the statsheet.

* Good to see **DWade** healthy and back to being the rotational stretch 4 we need on this roster 14/6 on 62.5% from the field

* Our defense just isn’t the same w/o the Fro, let’s hope he gets and stays healthy.

## What the heck was that final play?

It’s preseason but when you need a 3 to tie at the end of regulation how you throw an entry pass to a big in the paint let alone have it stolen is beyond me.

A bit of a break as the next Wine and Gold game is 10/20 vs the Pacers.
