  1. I’m a graphic and sports designer creating a series of new / revised jersey sets for each NHL team. If you’re interested in seeing the rest of the designs, they can be found on my Reddit and Instagram pages. I appreciate all feedback, so let me know what you think! Hope you enjoy it.

The Winnipeg Jets heritage jerseys are some of my favorite jerseys of all-time. They’re clean and timeless. However, I wanted to take that same approach, and apply it to my favorite Jets jerseys of all-time, the jerseys from their 1979 inaugural NHL season.

The home and away utilizes the club’s current heritage jersey color palette and applies it to a modern take on the 1979 Jet’s jerseys. You’ll notice several aviation references in the details. The logos and numbers are clad in a carbon fiber texture. The jet within the logo has been updated to the current logo’s jets. The collar contains an aeronautical compass facing “True North”. The shoulder stripes are that of a pilot Captain’s ranking. 3 stripes would be on the “A”lternate captain uniforms which indicate a First Officer. All other players would only have 2 stripes on the shoulder which indicates a Flight Engineer / Second Officer.

The first alternate jersey is a throwback to the Jets very first jerseys from 1972 utilizing the script logo created in 2018. It features the club’s original color scheme, as well.

The second alternate is a “White Out” uniform to celebrate the Jets fan favorite tradition.
