  1. If this happens, the next 10+ months speculating if AR is injury prone or just unlucky will be brutal.

That being said, dude is only 21, he’s clearly NFL quality imo, smart to take care of him for the long term

  2. I’ll take one glass of depression, please.

In all honestly better to get him ready for the long term rather than rushing him back.

  3. Terrible way for it to happen, but Gardner deserves a new shot at starting in NFL. I’m happy to roll with Minshew-mania for 4 weeks or tue rest of the season.

  4. I really hope not. That would make this season a whole lot less exciting personally. But Minshew getting another stint as a starting QB might be okay.

  5. If it’s best for his should health long-term then yeah, you do it obviously. And I think then that gives Steichen a clear vision for the offensive scheme with Minshew so he can focus more on tailoring to that.

  6. Poor kid hasn’t started 20 games between pro and college and is now out for a year. That’s tough and that’s also worrisome

  7. Damn. Basically sets our timeline for success back a year, he’ll essentially be a rookie next year, coming off an injury, and needing a few weeks to get adjusted to that. Also seems like you can’t get rid of Minshew if this injury situation isn’t settled. Horrible start to his career.

  8. It sure was nice in those 24 hours after Taylor’s extension to not have some kind of dark ominous cloud hanging over the organization

  9. Honestly he should do it Things may of turned out slightly different if Luck got his shoulder taken care of right away.

  10. It might be good for him. Let him sit and heal and learn from Minshew. It’s helped a lot of QBs to observe a year.

  11. V concerning. He needs snaps. Lots of them. This will massively stunt his development and the growth of the offense under Steichen.

Ofc we have to protect him – but this really is just another case of one step forward two steps back.

    Sigh.
