  1. Not to make light of an injury but thank God it’s October because I’m dead inside. Fit right in for Halloween.

  2. I’m having PTSD of Cutty diving for that tackle against the Chargers. I honestly think we would have gone to the Super Bowl if that didn’t happen. We were a buzz saw

  3. I hope Justin Fields hand is okay and we get to see him back on the field 100% healthy soon, as he is one of my very favorite current players to watch in the NFL right now!

  4. I have to imagine his thumb is super swollen right now, hope it’s not too bad and he can play next week

  5. The season has been over for a while. I wish Fields a speedy recovery and I want him back, but I’m also curious to see Bagent. I wanna see if he can carve out a place for himself as a high end backup like Brissett, Minshew, Fitzpatrick, etc. It’s always fun to watch new unknown QBs play

  6. They were a 2 to 3 win team with Fields. If he’s out they’re probably a 2 win team. Nothing to see here.

  7. Can we burn Getsy in the pire for sacrifice to heal him? He’s the one that came up with that game plan that got him hurt.

  8. This sounds like the best case scenario. He might only miss a week. I’ll bet he’s Questionable against the Raiders.

  9. Hell likely miss 3-4 games. Depending on severity and surgery. If I recall Russell Wilson had something similar and tried coming back after like 2 weeks and was absolute dog shit. Goff also had a similar injury and was out 4-6 weeks. A few years back.

  10. I dislocated my thumb a few decades ago. It does normal thumb stuff, but now it dislocates itself at least once a year. Doing stupid shit like pushing garbage down into the trash can.

I’ve gotten used to just putting it back in it’s spot.

  11. Hopefully it’s just swelling from the dislocation. Dislocated digits hurt but thankfully don’t take too long to heal.

  12. I genuinely don’t know if I remember a season that has been so absolutely awful in recent years.

There’s such a long list of things that have gone wrong. The ups and downs of Fields/Getsy and the offense are making the reality of this year so much harder to swallow. An unprecedented debacle with Alan Williams. Guys going down with injury seemingly left and right. Defense being somehow even worse than last year (besides today) despite major “upgrades” in the offeseason.

And now to top it off Fields will probably miss at least 2 games or more, meaning Poles will have to move on from him regardless and he won’t even really have a chance to prove himself this year.

You know I think back to our overall journey with Justin and it’s just been so gut wrenching. The amount of highs and lows he gave us is unbelievable. It hurts so much more because he has games in which he shows his potential, but potential is only good when it’s able to be fulfilled. He’s not gonna do that in Chicago, it just won’t happen. Trubisky stung but it wasn’t too hard to accept because the team was still competitive and he did give us some good year. With Fields it just seems like there’s so much “what if” surrounding his legacy here which makes it that much worse in hindsight.

I’m just so tired of this and I know you all are too. Sick of being the one franchise who never gets the right guy at QB. Sick of being dominated by divisional rivals over and over. More than anything I’m just sick of myself for ever expecting things to be different. Something just felt right with Fields and it was tangible, until it wasn’t. Blame who you want but the flus, Getsy, fields era is over. Maybe been Poles. God I hope whoever we take next year doesn’t end up the same :/
