This was going to be a tough game regardless, but I felt it was one we could’ve stole but at least keep it close and not end the game with no touchdowns. Offensively, this was easily the worst offensive performance of the season. Baker was asked to throw A LOT and missed on quite a few wide open deep balls. We’ve had a few horrible drops at the worst time. The run game, AS USUAL, is atrocious and Rachaad White is still overrated and needs to be replaced because it is borderline neglect now how we keep trotting him out. His vision isn’t good and he goes down so easy.
Defensively, we started off strong in the first half and it might be due to the offensive incompetence but we were bad in the second half. We couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down and they were converting like every 3rd and 10+. This is unacceptable. Bowles said communication was lacking but this defense has been in place since 2019, how are there still communication issues? Also, Camarda is a BALLER. I can’t even begin to think what we’d look like if we had an average punter. This dude is a weapon. Anyways, the whole division lost so we are still in 1st place and have a chance to beat the falcons next week to extend our division lead. Let’s go!!

There’s just no excuse for the run game we have had these past 2 years.

This is what’s driving me insane. Obviously a bad day from Baker and the WR, adding in the Mike Evans Drops.
But I find myself groaning Everytime we run, I feel like there’s no change to bust a big run. We are lucky if we get 5 yards.
Something has to change, bring someone in or run some different blocking schemes or both. I’m less worried about our passing game then our run game.
I agree. The commentators gave us shit for passing on third and 1. But I’m more confident in that getting a first down then a run. Can’t wait for Bowles and Canales to see how a run game works when we play the Falcons next week.
It feels like accuracy issues from Baker. I had a feeling our run will suffer against their Dline. This was just my first impressions but yeah this sucks.
Bucs need to turn into a pass heavy offense. Too much emphasis on getting our run game going. **Unless we trade for Derrick Henry 😜

Expected to lose this one, but didn’t expect to look so pathetic after the bye. No run game still and no sense of hope/improvement. Still not impressed by Canales yet.

Squandered Brady. Defense just int good. That’s not true, the defense is good when we are winning. It has no chance if being good when the offense is bad.
There is no imagination with the team. You know a bad run is coming. You know we never go for it. Conservative everything. Besides Camarda the ST is useless. No returns. I know I’m not the only one that NEVER would expect a blocked kick or punt.
Evans is broken. I love the dude, but man, maybe he needs glasses or something.
Baker wasn’t the problem. He overthrew a few but overall he was pretty good.
We did some things well. The commitment to the run is ridiculous. Stop doing what your worst at. bowles literally believes you need to run it 25 times a game to set up the pass. That’s all just wasted plays.
We couldn’t get to goff, maddening.
I felt we needed to have our best offensive game so far to win this. 3+ TDs. We did the opposite of that. That looked pretty sad.
Still confident, would you all agree we can pretty easily win 5 of our next 7?
I’m not giving up on the run game or Chaad helming it quite yet. I think we’ve faced top run defenses in 4 of our first 5 games, so while there’s clearly improvement needed and your criticisms of White are fair (he def goes down too easy), it’s worth seeing if we can run better against middling and soft run defenses before making big changes in strategy or personnel. And honestly even if the run game sucks all season, there’s not much more we can put on the passing game before it breaks down so we gotta stick w it.
Our D is excellent overall and usually more fun to watch than the offense. But they do need breathers and morale boosters from Baker & co. to stay fierce for a full 4 quarters. We can’t expect to win a lot of games if we aren’t putting up 20+ points and giving them a few long drives per game to recover on a regular basis.
