  1. The media should really stop trying to get soundbites from Gary. He’s been nothing but professional, and the only person who seemed to have a problem with him was Nurse.

    Every team needs players like GTJ, why not us.

  2. this would be fine if we already extended him. but reducing his role might screw him on his next contract. unless he’s like a 6MOTY contender

  3. Since Gary isn’t a point guard or a center, as long as OG, Scottie and Pascal are on the team, he’s on the bench. It’s just what it is.

    Now there is the path that Scottie actually can be a fulltime point guard, but Gary’s gonna have to re-up with us to see it.

  8. Think the starters with Gary will be a better option against the better defenses in the league when they force Pascal/Scottie to play more isolation (and require more off ball shooting. Nice thing is there should be a big sample of minutes with either lineup playing anyway

  11. ….It’s the pre-season. I don’t expect the actual day 1 starting lineup to be used till probably the last or 2nd least game of the pre-season. Right now it should be work on the game and assimilate to the new system. Also get the rookies as much game action as possible in preparation for their first pro season

  12. I was looking at the lineup today and honestly, just re-signing Siakam and trading OG would solve a lot. Our immediate talent is the best with Barnes-Siakam. Gary starts too. We desperately need to move one of Siakam and OG cause it just doesn’t even make basketball sense. But Masai will waste another year trying to jam it up
