Shut him down through the bye. Would rather lose the next two games without CMC and have him for the rest of the season after that, than have him be chronically injured the rest of the way.

I think a full week of prepping Purdy with Mason/Mitchell would be good enough for the Vikings. Maybe test things out for the Bengals/Jags/Seahawks, though – those games aren’t going to be easy, especially AT Seattle
Purdy’s oblique injury last year was about pain tolerance. I’d expect similar with CMC.

Even if it’s true, give him no more than like 10-12 Carrie’s. Let him keep the TD going and then bounce him out.
