  1. Best of luck to him where he ends up! I’m sure he just needs a team with both time to develop and roll the dice cheap.

  2. Cold blooded cut by Rob. I was watching last nights game and felt Jr. was playing hard, but wasn’t making plays and not distributing the ball very well for a PG.

  3. Nice for the Lakers to give him the opportunity to show what he could do vs an NBA club before letting him go.

While his stats weren’t great, hopefully, his effort helps him catch on somewhere.

  4. Sadly he just hasn’t improved that much since he came in the league and doesn’t really fit a need for our team anymore. We have too many players that do the same things he is called to do but at a much higher level.

  5. He was on a camp deal, this was always going to happen. He’ll end up with South Bay since he’ll now get a bonus for staying with us after getting cut.

  6. It’s a shame he didnt get his dad’s size.

I guess everybody cannot be a 6’6” nba player.

I’m sure Jr is going to be ok though.

  7. Looked terrible in the preseason game the other day. Too small for the League and not elite at any skill. He’ll go to Europe and play for 15 years if he wants

  8. He couldn’t make open shots. Undersized & challenged defensively. Needs more time to develop

  9. Kid just don’t got it. Doesn’t even have the fundamentals. Which is crazy considering the home he grew up in. Kobe literally spent every moment of retirement until his last breath building his daughters game. It’s very clear Scottie Sr. Didn’t do the same. Smh.

  10. Uh… guys… he was on an Exhibit 10 contract.

    >Many of those players will sign a contract with an Exhibit 10 clause. Introduced in the NBA’s 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Exhibit 10 contracts are one-year deals worth the minimum salary. They don’t come with any compensation protection, but can include an optional bonus worth as little as $5K and – in 2023/24 – as much as $75K.

    >**Let’s say an undrafted rookie signs an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jazz that includes a $75K bonus. He attends camp with the Jazz, but is waived before the regular season begins, with Utah designating him an affiliate player in order to retain his G League rights. In that scenario, if the rookie elects to play in the G League for the Salt Lake City Stars and remains with the club for 60 days, he’d be entitled to his full $75K bonus.**

    >The player wouldn’t receive that bonus if he opts to sign with a team overseas after being waived by the Jazz. Essentially, the Exhibit 10 bonus serves as an incentive for players to stick with their team’s G League affiliate — they must spend at least 60 days with the NBAGL club in order to get their bonus.

If he wasn’t going to make a main roster outright or be converted into a 2-way, this is normal and is better for him financially. It’s basically giving him a $75k bonus as incentive to stay with the G-league squad.

This is literally almost nothing. If he leaves the organization entirely, then it’s something.
