We really had no other option. We we so far away from the end zone with only seconds left on the clock. And we needed to get a TD on that single play or bust. So you pretty much have to throw up four vert…..
wait, what’s that? We only needed to pick up a first down to continue the drive? And we had more than enough time to do so? And we had one time out left?
Shame our OC is addicted to smoking crack.
Reminiscent of my madden play calling ability when I was 12
Terrible play calling, it reeks of desperation and low confidence. But on play #3 Carr did have Olave wide open on the out route. Guaranteed first down and out of bounds to stop the clock. Opted to throw to covered Shaheed in the endzone instead.
So it’s mostly play calling, but partly QB vision / decision making that caused this failure.
I didn’t get that play calling with 1 to left. It seems like it was td in one play or bust which shouldn’t have been the case. Then a drive or 2 before that they run with kamara 4-5 times almost in a row without a PA pass mixed in there.
This captures it perfectly. All that talent in the field, none on the sideline.
