Here’s where the Giants’ O-line stands after this flurry of moves:

    Active roster

    • Andrew Thomas: Missed past five games with hamstring injury, hoping to return soon.

    • John Michael Schmitz: Missed past two games with shoulder injury, likely would have gone on IR if it was expected to be a long-term injury.

    • Matt Peart: Missed last game with shoulder injury, definitely would have gone on IR if it was a long-term injury.

    • Evan Neal: Battling through an ankle injury since Week 3, but has only missed three snaps all season.

    • Ben Bredeson: Has started at center the past two games in place of JMS. Much better at guard.

    • Marcus McKethan: Was benched last week after starting four straight games at RG. Was back in the lineup after Josh Ezeudu’s injury caused shuffling.

    • Mark Glowinski: Has quietly been solid since getting bench after Week 1 disaster.

    • Shane Lemieux: Back to a reserve role last week after missing one game with a groin injury.

    • Tyre Phillips: Signed from the Eagles’ practice squad today. Started five games at tackle for the Giants last season. Possible LT starter this week?

    • Josh Miles: Signed from the Falcons’ practice squad today. Has played 23 offensive snaps in five seasons.

    Practice squad:

    • Justin Pugh: With 10 OL on the 53, including two signed today, doesn’t seem like he’s going to get his wish this week for an enhanced contract. He still could be elevated from the P-squad two more times. Interested to see how this plays out.

    • Jalen Mayfield: Re-signed to the P-squad today after being promoted to the active roster for last week’s game. Replaced an injured McKethan at RG in Week 5.

    • Jaylon Thomas: Undrafted rookie got three snaps at center in Week 5 when Bredeson left due to a cut on his face.

    • Yodny Cajuste: Signed to the P-squad last week. Has five career starts at RT in three seasons.

  2. I’m not gonna whine about Pugh until he gets poached by another team. until then, he’s a Giant. all 31 teams already had their chance to add him to their active roster and all 31 of them chose not to.

  3. Maybe I’m crazy but I swear I saw Pugh calling the protections from his guard spot last week. Isnt there value in having a vet who can do that on the line?
