Holy shit what a ride that must be. No wonder Stassi was gone indefinitely
My heart dropped when I saw this. I hope everything turns out well!!
Hope he’s doing alright.
damn dude, that must be extremely tough on their family. Really hoping the little guy keeps progressing and getting stronger. max deserves a big ovation from the fans whenever he makes it back out on the field
Wow… yeah thats definitely a good enough excuse. Makes baseball seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things
So sad that people were attacking him for missing the season. All the best to max, his wife, and his sweet son. Take your time brother, your family is much more important
And they fucking stopped paying him, by the way. shit org.
poor little guy i hope he does well. godspeed little stassi.
A 1.5lb baby is fucking insane. Made a lot of sense that Stassi was gone. Kid looks good in the picture, hope it all goes well.
Well…that explains a lot.
I was also 3 months early! (My mom almost died, but it still wasn’t *nearly* as bad as this…)
While we didn’t pay him the last month dude to Perry’s mishandling of the waivers, it’s still cool to see the team make sure Max got paid for most of the year.
Hope everything goes well for Max and his baby, and hopefully next year they will all be there on opening day.
Hope the little guy turns out alright, he’s a fighter. Now I wonder why I got downvoted to hell and back every time I said I assumed Stassi was gone because something must have gone wrong with his wife or child. I mean our beat reporters said he withdrew from team Italy / WBC because of his wife’s pregnancy. That was not an unreasonable leap to make. Quite the opposite as it turn out. So good to hear he and his family are better now. Hope to see him back with us soon. Also fuck Arte for giving Rendon paid vacations every year and making Stassi give up his pay at the end of the season. Rendon was shopping for doctors to confirm a non-existant break while Stassi was worrying about the life of his child. Those things are NOT the same!

My last kid was in the NICU for 5 days and it was so shitty…I can’t even imagine doing that for 190. Glad the lights at the end of the tunnel for Stassi
