4. I called it before the season started that losing Gay was going to cost us a game, that even if we needed to pay him he was an absolutely necessity to retain. If we had him today we’d won full stop

5. Honestly this feels like the loss of Big Whit but he just went somewhere else. Gotta imagine our front office is kicking themselves (see what I did there 😏)

6. Listen, I often joked with my brother that Matt Gay was my favorite player on the team…but look how he’s playing in Indy. He’s 20th in the league in FG%. He’s a million times better than Brett. But I think our staff kinda saw the regression coming. We need a better solution at kicker, but I still think trying to get a good kicker cheap is the right strategy going forward.
