  1. now that Werenski is back and not out for the season (thankfully) I guess this makes sense for us

  2. This is good news imo – I think they like what they’ve seen from Bean and Jiricek.

  3. Would not be surprised if teams are waiting to see what Jarmo does when Chinakov gets healthy. With Jiracek up and playing regularly, Jarmo is gonna have to make the choice to either send Jiracek down, despite proving he’s capable… or exposing Boqvist/Peeke to waivers, or sending Chinakov down and continually scratching 2 capable blue liners, leaving only 1 extra winger on the roster… and then when Tarasov gets healthy we’re in a roster bind again with 3 goalies, none of which are waivers exempt.

I think Jarmo will be able to get a trade for Peeke/Boqvist, but I expect none of us will be very satisfied with the return

  4. I know that Gudbranson will always stay in the lineup for a few reasons, but with the way Bean is playing alongside him I kind of want to see Bean and Peeke together. Could be a dynamite third pair.

All I do know is my pre-season take of “Bean has to be the one to go” was WAY off. Guy has been exceptional.

  5. The issue that Jarmo is likely running into is that teams that if they like our guys they don’t have to pay until they get our waiver situation figured out. Why trade when you can grab a dude on the wire?
