  1. Jacoby is an improvement on Walker, but let’s not pretend he didn’t go 4-7 as a starter

He gives us a safer floor but by no means is a QB that’ll win us key games to make the playoffs should Watson be out long term

  2. And the Commanders have an injury risk in Sam Howell and no one else on the roster apart from Brissett

  3. This only happens if they IR Watson. If not, you have to figure it out with Watson. I don’t really care at this point what happens but if it takes him 3 games to get his shit together, this is a good 3 game stretch to figure it out. This man is your QB for at minimum two years beyond this. We have to figure it out with him playing Qb.

  4. Here comes every Internet writer and their mom making the obvious connection to Jacoby Brissett and the Browns and pretending they invented the wheel.

  5. people can scream for jacoby from the rooftops but no one stops to think for 2 seconds of ‘why would the commanders trade him’

  6. Washington isn’t trading him. Howell is hot garbage, and they’re gonna need JB very soon. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was named their started this week.

  7. People act like the Skins are just willing to part with him, he’s probably helping their young qb who will probably be injured this season

  8. A controversial win on a Sunday, and then back to the cold, hard, familiarity of a QB controversy. We’re BACK baby!

  9. This guy absolutely balled out for us 110%. Would be great to snag him back. Too bad we let Dobbs go as well.

  10. There are quite a few options that would be better than Walker. Winston, Dalton, Stidham. We should be calling every team with 3 wins or less and a healthy backup qb. The real win would be Watson to IR, vikings lose tonight and we trade for Cousins but that won’t happen.

  11. They went from paying a quarter billion to a clipboard-holding sex pest to begging 🙏 for a QB that wouldn’t be a starter if the league added another dozen teams.

  12. usually like lloyd but seems semi lazy of an article. no idea what the compensation would be, i think there could be a few options we can look at, but based on how crazy everyone thinks brissett will save us i am almost at the point is just riding out with what we got.

  13. Not even giving this the time of day. I love Lloyd, but not entertaining this. We got Watson and it is Kev and AVP’s job to make him right.

  14. I would like to see brisket back, but his last stint here he had Chubb in the backfield. I think too many people just think “Jacoby did it last year he can do it again” but I’m worried people are overestimating how much of an upgrade it will be.

  15. Love Brissett, but no, he can’t solve this. However, there is a man in Minnesota who can. Before anyone says anything, YES we can afford him this year easily. He has a relationship with Stefanski and knows the offense. Their GM was here and is super close to Berry. If Minnesota loses tonight (let’s go 49ers!), I believe this ramps up quickly.

Watson has said it himself, he doesn’t know if he will be 100% this year. If that’s the case, we can’t afford to waste a year with this defense and with so many of our young players in their prime. Captain Kirk, here we come 🏴‍☠️

  16. Here’s the tweet little less cryptic then the title, just saying

“The Browns have a problem. Jacoby Brissett can (temporarily) fix it. Why trading for Brissett makes sense, fits on their cap sheet and buys them more time with Deshaun Watson.”

  17. I’d be ok with Jacoby. Or Baker. Or the guy down the street having a shot. At this point, any solid #2 should give it a go.

  18. Deshaun Watson is a piece of shit, and I was happy when you signed him, and was thrilled to see mayfield do well elsewhere.

Mayfield is twice the human being that Watson will ever be, and I am happy that I can whole hearted root for him now that he’s in the NFC.

Y’all browns fans (I have many friends in that group) deserve so much better. Your players deserve better. Your city (can believe I actually feel this way) deserves better.

  19. In a heartbeat. With this defense and a solid kicker, an average passing attack is a one way ticket to the playoffs. Brisket proved he can provide that (and then some IMO) last year.

  20. Browsing the Commanders sub, it seems that the biggest problem on their team is O-Line, and the biggest problem on the line is their center. Luckily, we have three centers.

If I was the Washington GM, I would insist on Pocic in any trade. If I was Barry, I would try to include Harris plus picks

  21. I’m all for bringing back Jacoby. My only concern is that I don’t think Washington is going to be too keen on letting a guy like that walk for little or nothing (especially with their young QB on track to break the sack record). Do we dig ourselves in a deeper draft capital hole just for a temporary fix?
