  1. I can roll with that. He, too, has an NLCS appearance, and has won at least 90 games in both full 162-game seasons he managed. Plus that 17-game win streak at the end of 2021 should give hope that he can rally a team through to the end.

I figured when he and Matt Williams were hired after BoMel that they were intended as internal options if Bob chose to retire. I did not expect his time with us to possibly end like this, but I think we’re in good hands if we MAKE THE RIGHT MOVE, PRELLER.

  2. Shildt seems like the best candidate. Seems like it would be a seamless transition from Melvin.

  3. We should be fucking picketing in the streets that this is even an option. If we run Melvin out of town it should be undeniable proof that this is a clown organization that will take your money and shit on you. Why is everyone here trying to cope? This is completely unacceptable for a professional organization. AJ Svengali needs to be fired into the sun.

  4. I think letting BoMel leave is a mistake, however
Schildt is not a bad option to have. He’s also a former MOTY and had a really good tenure with the Cardinals. He wasn’t let go for performance reasons in St Louis. If he actually does want to return to managing a team, I think he’d do well.
