  1. alright lets roll with it, really curious to see what he does to the farm system and pitching staff

  2. This reeks of an organization settling because no one wanted them. Hope for the best of course but im not loving this move.

  3. I like it. Won’t truly judge anything until moves are made but it seems like he has potential. Hopefully this is a fun offseason.

  4. I like it. Impressed by him. I can get behind him. Henry needs to be willing to bring in veterans, though, and win now.

  5. He might be a good fit in Boston. Hopefully he is more like Theo Epstein and less like Chaim Bloom.

  6. Excited for him.

Team still royally fucked up by canning Bloom while failing to realize the job wasn’t attractive AT ALL

  7. I’m excited. Seems like a good pick. From [Twitter](https://twitter.com/MattCouture5/status/1714786531502690334):

    > Breslow’s Resume:

    > – Yale Grad
    – 13 year MLB career including 2012-2015 with the Red Sox
    – Personally recruited by Theo Epstein to work with the Cubs
    – Cubs – Director of Strategic Initiatives for Baseball Ops – 2019
    – Cubs – Director of Pitching, Special Asst to President & GM – 2020
    – Cubs- AST GM/VP, Director of Pitching – 2020 – Present

Looks good to me. And previous reports were saying that he was really good with the players and did a great job translating FO stuff and analytics for the players on the field.

  8. Cubs fan here- Breslow was the architect of the Cubs ‘pitching lab’ that turns journeymen into stars. Some of his finest pupils include Justin Steele, Javier Assad, Ryan Tepera, Andrew Chafin, Julian Merryweather, Mark Leiter Jr, Adbert Alzolay, Scott Effross. None of these guys were studs before Breslow took over pitching here in 2020.
