Good for the Giants. What does this say about SD that Melvin is willing to walk away from that roster to SF though?
Will another former Padres manager bring the Giants’ even year bullshit back to life? Tune in next season!

This is interesting. MLB typically doesn’t like announcements during playoffs. Maybe they don’t care because it’s a off day
So damn happy. Bay Area guy through and through. Proven clubhouse leader. It’s up to Farhan to set him up for success at this point.
Is this just a SD release and SF hire or is there compensation?

he looks good in the uniform. i have a feeling he’ll win over the locker room pretty easily but this roster is depleted, so not sure it will change their overall performance for next year.
Who are the Pads going to bring in to get all those spoiled “me” players to work together?
AJ Preller must be a nightmare to deal with because the Padres have a much better roster with legit stars on it
